Safety Builders Confined Space Entry Course is a one-day course, which includes theory and in class exercises and will cover such things as:

- Oxygen Deficient/Inert Atmospheres
- Purging
- Gas Testing Frequency
- Confined Space Isolations
- Entry Authorization
- Signage/Tagging
The purpose of the OSSA Confined Space Entry program is to ensure that the End-User demonstrates basic knowledge and proficiency with respect to confined space entry procedures, legislation and the related Regional Codes of Practice.
Program Learning Objectives are as follows:
- Understand the regulations relating to confined spaces in Alberta.
- Understand the adopted Regional Code of Practice for Confined Spaces.
- Understand the importance of compliance with the required legislation, Regional Code of Practice and site/company specific procedures with relation to confined space entry.
- Understand the requirement for constant communication with the Confined Space Monitor and their authority with relation to entry into the confined space and evacuation of the confined space in an emergency.
- Understand the importance of the entry permits, entry log and signage for the confined spaces.
