Safety Builders Fire Watch (Spark Watch) course utilizing the Pyrosoft Fire Extinguisher Training Simulator is ideally suited to on site or classroom training. Our program is Safer than traditional programs as there are no requirements for Live Fire as such no PPE or specialty clothing required by participants. There is no need to obtain permits or schedule usage of the client's fire training grounds for on site training. All components of the training are conducted in the classroom and can be scheduled 24/7 and classes can run regardless of weather conditions.
Safety Builders Fire Watch Course is a half-day course, which includes theory, in class exercises and the hands on fire extinguisher practical component.
The course will cover such things as:
- Fire Watch Basics - Legislation & Standards
- Why Fire Watch?
- Fire Watch Planning
- Types of Extinguishers, Agents and Classification

- Understand how to safely extinguish a fire.
Practical demonstration process is accomplished using the Pyrosoft zero emission fire extinguisher training simulator.
The Pyrosoft Fire Simulator recreates actual fire scenes on a 6 foot rear projection screen. Students approach the fire, see the flames and hear the rush of air. The Simulator monitors whether the fire extinguisher has been correctly activated and that the nozzle valve is fully open. An infrared emitter in the extinguisher nozzle is tracked by detectors around the projection screen and the video images of the fire are edited in real time to reflect where and how efficiently the student is extinguishing the fire.
The Simulator is designed to supplement actual fire where a fire training ground exists or as a replacement for live fire training where that training involves parking lot pan fires.
The system provides students unlimited hands on extinguisher training compared to the limited hands on training of conventional live fire training and without environmental impact.
Apart from negating the obvious environmental concerns of free burning large amounts of fuel and eliminating the uncertainty of weather, the Pyrosoft Fire Simulator not only replaces actual fire but also other items needed to conduct hands on fire extinguisher training sessions.
The Pyrosoft Fire Simulator replaces all the equipment normally associated with conventional fire training.
- Fuel Supply
- Fire Pan
- Fire Extinguishers
- Pressurized Cartridges
- Fire Extinguishing Agent
|
- Hand Scoops and Funnels
- Fire Training Grounds
- Extra Training Personnel
- Burn Permit

The Pyrosoft Simulator provides an economical replacement or supplement to your existing hands on fire extinguisher training program. The system is recognized by OSHA as meeting their training requirements under OSHA regulation 1910.157 (g).
We believe once the Fire Simulator has been to your facility, the tradition of extinguishing a small pan fire with a large extinguisher will be replaced with a zero emission alternative.
